The University of Iowa Department of Urology is seeking to hire a full-time Physician Assistant with an interest in general urology with an emphasis on providing specialized care to a urologic oncology patient population. After demonstrating competency under the guidance, supervision, and discretion of a supervising physician, you will provide direct care in an outpatient setting, exercising autonomy in medical decision-making to support quality care and positive patient outcomes.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Must comply with registration and licensure requirements as specified by the Iowa Board of Physician Assistant Examiners which include graduation from an accredited PA educational program and/or certification by the NCCPA.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills is required.
· Evidence of ability to function with a high degree of independence while actively collaborating with other health care team members.
Certification Required
· Licensed in the State of Iowa as a Physician Assistant or eligible.
· Previous patient care experience in urology.
· 1-3 years experience in an outpatient care setting.
