• Under the leadership of the department director and the department supervisor the Medical Physicist is responsible for computations, calibrations, measurements, and communication as necessary to ensure accurate delivery of radiation therapy treatment as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist.
• A Medical Physicist must fully understand the operations, qualities, and the necessary safety requirements of all treatment and treatment planning equipment.
• Performs all therapeutic radiologic physics procedures and services according to the "guidelines for Ethical Practice" outlined by the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM).
• Interacts with patients, medical staff, and peers in a positive, service-oriented manner. Performs all procedures in area of assignment serving the entire population from birth to death.

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $175.00 - $180.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift

Experience:

• Radiation Oncology Medical Physicists (ROMPS): 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Required)
• American Board of Radiology Certification (Preferred)
• American Board of Medical Physics Certification (Required)
