The Cold QCD Group in the Physics Department has an opening for a scientist to join the ongoing efforts in the RHIC Cold QCD program. You will be expected to take a leading role in the activities of the group with responsibilities in the STAR collaboration and the RHIC polarimeters. We have recently collected significant data sets with polarized high-energy proton collisions and expect to continue to collect more in the RHIC Run-24 with a wide range of unique observables and possible analyses. In addition, you will have the opportunity to mentor and train students and postdocs in an international and multicultural environment, which will be growing from RHIC to EIC in the near future.
