REGIONAL DIRECTOR
Provides leadership, oversight, and cultivation for all aspects of operations for the Region 3 regional office, working in tandem with Administrative Services, Philanthropy, and VP of Prevention. This position is designed to create a continuum of services within SCAN, Inc. for services in region 3. This position is designed to grow the services offered through SCAN, Inc. This role should focus on establishing positive presence in the community, building teams within this region in tandem with the various program supervisors and managers, breaking down the silos within the office setting, communicate local and corporate policies and procedures while establishing relationships with key individuals within the communities/counties of Elkhart, Kosciusko, Marshall, and St. Joseph.
This is a leadership position within our corporation. Leaders at SCAN are expected to coach, develop, mentor, guide, support and teach staff to instill SCAN’s values, beliefs, vision, and mission related to quality service to families and children as well as to one another.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Manage and direct regional operations needed to sustain quality care and services for region.
- Oversight of administrative, clinical, financial and employment related functions for the region.
- Assist the executive team with marketing, branding, fundraising, and grant writing.
- Ensure office environment is welcoming to both clients/families, as well as staff and community members.
- Approximately 60% of the time, this person will be in the community participating in community activities, meeting, etc. Resulting in a minimum of 4 new grant opportunities, minimum of 5 new donor prospects (individual or corporate) per year.
- Bridging the gap between the corporate office and this office location, ensuring corporate initiates are implemented with this regional team.
- Being the face of SCAN, Inc, as a leader in the community, to ensure connectivity to scan services for our community liaisons and referral sources
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS (CORE COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE)
- Team building skills are essential with multiple disciplines within, as well as outside the organization (i.e.: volunteers, staff members, board/committee members, supporters of SCAN and the public)

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to tell a compelling story consistent with the brand identity, public relations strategy, and development plan.
- Understanding of different language styles that appeal to various target markets.
- Extensive knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Office Suite), ability to implement donor database software.
- Ability to manage several projects at once and meet deadlines.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
- Flexibility in hours is allowed, must work to meet the needs of the community being served. May include evening and weekend work based on the caseload need.
- Requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets or bend and stoop as necessary.
- Requires the ability to occasionally lift office supplies, materials, and equipment up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to drive, as well as utilize dependable transportation.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s Degree in non-profit community development, public relations, business with 3-5 years of experience.
