- RESPONSIBILITIES: The Gift Coordinator reports to the Director of Advancement Operations and is responsible for managing gift receipting, gift-related data entry, and key parts of the gift recording and acknowledgment system. This position processes all gifts through Raiser’s Edge (RE) to include: the posting of gifts, pledges, and event registrations to the database, ensuring department, IRS, and CASE guidelines are maintained. They prepare various gift reports as needed for internal and external use. They work with and respond to inquiries from colleagues as well as donors and resolve questions and concerns on gift related issues in the database. They oversee the work of Advancement Administrative Assistants who are supporting Gift entry. They analyze gift information and documentation from various sources and update donors’ records as appropriate. REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must possess an associate degree in business, fundraising or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A bachelor’s degree is preferred. The Gift Coordinator will possess three to five years of general office experience with progressive levels of responsibility with a minimum of 1 year of data input, database experience or other directly related work. This position requires a high level of professionalism and requires the ability to meet people with ease at all levels of the organization including the ability to be discreet and maintain confidentiality. The successful candidate will be disciplined with the ability to meet deadlines while working under pressure. You will have the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. This position requires excellent Microsoft Excel and understanding of operating systems, email, word processing, graphics, spreadsheets, and databases.
