Department Summary: The Assistant Director Planned Giving serves as the principal administrator for all planned gifts to The University of Alabama including numerous multi-million dollar estate gifts to UA. This position handles estate administration and has the responsibility to create personalized gift illustrations for advisors and donors.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience; OR master's degree.
Skills and Knowledge: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to understand and communicate complex planned giving and estate concepts and gift options with donors and financial advisors.
Diplomacy and good interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications: At least three years of experience in business, financial planning, law or other related environment.
