Planner/Scheduler - Construction jobs in Corpus Christi, TX
Planner/Scheduler - Construction collects and analyzes information used to plan and schedule construction projects. Generates forecasts, variance reports, and other documentation used to monitor and manage projects. Being a Planner/Scheduler - Construction researches and reports on economic, legal, and other factors that may impact project success. Evaluates current procedures and recommends changes to improve the efficiency of planning and scheduling of projects and the reduction of issues due to scheduling errors. Additionally, Planner/Scheduler - Construction understands and utilizes standard planning and scheduling methodologies and tools. Prepares plans and schedules for small and routine projects. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Planner/Scheduler - Construction works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. The experienced individual must possess extensive knowledge of engineering instruments such as a total station, an automatic level, and laser pipe levels. Must be able to lay out flatwork, underground utilities, as well as vertical structures. The candidate must have the following attributes:
- Mathematical and analytical skills
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in construction surveying
- Experience in reading construction drawings.
- Knowledge of using Trimble Robotic Total Station surveying equipment
- Knowledge of GPD of GIS
- Create accurate maps and reports.
- Must be familiar with surveying and CAD software.
- Must be able to work in the field and perform layout daily.
- Self-driven and organized.
- Attention to detail.
- Willing to take directions & suggestions from superiors.
- Willing to work in a constantly changing environment.
- Efficient multi-tasker
- Proactive & Goal Oriented
