    POSITION SUMMARY:  Responsible for developing detailed estimates, proposals, and schedules on energy infrastructure projects with a heavy focus on civil scopes.

    JOB DUTIES:

    • Estimate labor and equipment needs, perform thorough and accurate material takeoffs, and solicit for self-performed civil activities.
    • Implement bid strategies, perform risk analysis, and develop bid alternatives/value engineered solutions.
    • Solicit, analyze, and qualify subcontractors on general contracted scopes while identifying and eliminating scope gaps.
    • Prepare bid submission documents including proposal letters, bid breakdowns, work execution plans, and schedules.
    • Breakdown work scopes into individual activities and determine resource needs.
    • Perform detailed concrete takeoff (rebar, formwork) on flatwork and foundations.
    • Read and understand project scopes, specifications, geotechnical reports, and drawings.
    • Perform basic risk analysis and implement bid strategies that protect the company’s best interest.
    • Implement process improvements to increase efficiency through better work practices pertaining to estimating.
    • Electronically categorize and store information in an organized manner.
    • Travel and attend training, pre-bid, and post-bid meetings as needed.
