Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. The Construction Estimator will be responsible for analyzing construction documents, preparing cost estimates, and ensuring projects are completed within budget.
Duties:
- Analyze construction drawings and specifications to accurately estimate project costs
- Utilize software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare detailed estimates
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimates
- Develop and submit bids and proposals for construction projects
- Monitor and track project costs throughout the construction process
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
- Maintain documentation of all estimates, bids, and cost data
Experience:
- Proven experience in construction estimating and project management
- Proficiency in Bluebeam software or similar construction estimating tools
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts
- Excellent communication skills for effective negotiation with vendors and clients
- Knowledge of cost control methods to ensure projects stay within budget
