Planner/Scheduler - Construction collects and analyzes information used to plan and schedule construction projects. Generates forecasts, variance reports, and other documentation used to monitor and manage projects. Being a Planner/Scheduler - Construction researches and reports on economic, legal, and other factors that may impact project success. Evaluates current procedures and recommends changes to improve the efficiency of planning and scheduling of projects and the reduction of issues due to scheduling errors. Additionally, Planner/Scheduler - Construction understands and utilizes standard planning and scheduling methodologies and tools. Prepares plans and schedules for small and routine projects. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Planner/Scheduler - Construction works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Equity Construction has an opening for a Construction Superintendent in Monroe, LA.
The position requires someone with great communication skills. Below are some of the requirements/duties for this position. Includes but is not limited to:
Coordinating and liaising with inspectors, clients, subcontractors, property managers and tenants.
Ability to manage the day to day activities of all trades and inspectors.
Proficient in scheduling Subcontractors & Venders to meet the project deadlines.
Knowledgeable in basic Building codes
Reading and Interpretation of Plans & Specifications
Ability to monitor all subcontractors work activities to ensure they are conforming to the contract documents.
Ability to conduct safety inspections to ensure on-site working conditions adhere to the required standards.
Knowledgeable in keeping on-site material inventory and ensuring acceptance of ordered materials.
Coordination with work activities to ensure all materials are delivered timely.
Ability to travel for out of town projects.
Proficient in record keeping of daily performance, equipment and material logs.
Equipment Operating skills is a plus. (Telehandler) & (Skid Steer)
Not required, but preferred for the Construction Superintendent position:
*OSHA certification
*Current, valid CDL license
Travel is required. Standard Enterprises and Equity Construction have properties throughout Louisiana and Mississippi. Location of assignment is determined by project location. Pay will be commensurate with experience.
