Being a Plant Accountant complies and prepares analysis and reports of accounting activity and data. Prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and reconciliations. Additionally, Plant Accountant typically requires a bachelor's degree of accounting or related field. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Erie Forge and Steel, Inc. an industry leading manufacturer of large steel components for military applications (US Navy, Coast Guard) has an immediate opening for a Plant Manager.
Our ideal candidate should have a college degree and 10 plus years of experience in a technical position (manufacturing/process engineer) in a metal cutting manufacturing environment. The primary focus of this position will be leading and coordinating manufacturing and documentation improvements to reduce process variation and increase productivity. This position requires the ability to effectively manage multiple projects in collaboration with department supervisors and ensure that all work being done is within the guidelines of the union contract. The ability to work within a team is critical but must be able to make decisions and take responsibility as required.
