Plant Accountant provides accounting services for a plant. Responsibilities include analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. Being a Plant Accountant complies and prepares analysis and reports of accounting activity and data. Prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and reconciliations. Additionally, Plant Accountant typically requires a bachelor's degree of accounting or related field. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. POSITION SUMMARY
Conduct operational and financial analysis, with key responsibilities in product costing. Support cross-functional teams, having a critical role in managing and continuously improving data systems and implementing new systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•Analyze financial information to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes.
•Provide timely and accurate information for internal and external reporting.
•Provide daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual analysis of financial reports.
•Analyze operating results, look for trends and variances, and provide financial guidance in addressing issues.
•Understand and fulfill financial information needs across operational facilities.
•Analyze inventory cost for reporting across all facilities.
•Provide product cost analysis and cost estimates as requested.
•Create continuous automation of reporting to ensure the most accurate and efficient delivery of information to management.
•Ad-hoc reporting and analysis
•All other duties as assigned by Manager.
REQUIRED SKILLS OR EDUCATION
•BA in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience.
•5 years, minimum, operational and inventory accounting.
•Cost accounting experience a plus.
•Solid experience in budgeting in a growing multi-unit organization
•Project management in finance and systems arenas
•Strong analytic, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills
•Excellent database reporting and modeling skills
•Advanced skills in all Microsoft office products
•Initiative-taker, highly driven, collaborator.
•Highest standard of accuracy
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and presentation abilities
