Plant Accountant jobs in Somerset, NJ

IVIRMA is seeking a full-time Accountant to join our growing team in our US Headquarters Accounting department located in Basking Ridge, NJ. You will be responsible for preparing and maintaining financial records, support treasury actions and other related financial activities enabling growth of our leading reproductive health organization under the direction of the Head of accounting and the Finance Director.

The position requires a finance professional with sound business judgement, knowledge of healthcare sector (not required but a plus), and a proven record of performance. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as part of a fast-paced team and providing support for multiple entities.

Responsibilities:

• Accountable for accurate and timely financial data
• Perform general accounting and treasury related duties
• Maintain the general ledger and prepare month-end accruals for the areas assigned ensuring right level of supporting documentation and accuracy in month-end
• Tracking, booking, reporting, and reconciling of Rent expenses
• Support in booking Personnel costs and Employee Benefits
• Execute intercompany transfers, movement of funds for payroll funding, payment of vendors overseas
• Support Accounts receivable close related processes
• Reconcile cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts
• Ensure compliance with GAAP regulations and other regulatory frameworks and internal policies and procedures
• Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures
• Support preparation of monthly income statements and balance sheets
• Perform other analytical related duties as assigned and ad hoc accounting projects

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting
• Comprehensive understanding of US GAAP
• Advanced MS Excel (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups)
• Experience working with multiple entities and bank accounts
• Experience in financial reporting systems
• Navision and Concur experience – preferred but not required
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written that are clear and concise with experience preparing information for management team
• Strength in interpersonal skills with a proven record as a collaborative partner who drives for results
• Detail oriented with exceptional analytical and accounting skills
• Must have demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
