Plant Accounting Manager jobs in Helena, MT

Plans, directs, and coordinates all ready mix operations to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards.
Manage the design and testing of concrete products to meet customer quality requirements at best or at lowest cost. Establish good relationships with current customers, contact potential customers and create lasting customer relations to sell our product.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Four year degree from an accredited university and/or equivalent experience
2. 5 years quality control and mix design management and sales experience.
3. Ability to provide and maintain proper certifications, licensure, medical card and acceptable driving record.
4. Proficient Math and computer skills with knowledge of Command/Alkon dispatching, batching software; knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.
5. Reasoning ability in dealing with problems involving several concrete variables in or from standardized situations.
6. Vocabulary ability equivalent to reading various forms of literature, safety rules, instructions, and writing reports. Speak clearly and distinctly.
7. Work with central dispatch to deliver concrete on time and in spec.
8. Accurate record keeping skill is a must.

Duties and/or Responsibilities:

1. Formulates and maintains quality control objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other plant managers.
2. Directs workers engaged in testing, producing and delivering concrete products.
3. Plans, promotes, and organizes training activities related to product quality, reliability and safety. May investigate and adjust customer complaints regarding quality.
4. Identify the needs, hire, train, coach and schedule personnel to meet the needs at the concrete plants.
5. Customer service and support through job site visits and job site testing, dedicated to meeting the expectations of internal & external customers.
6. Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations. Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.
7. Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors. Builds relationships with new customers and maintains good relationships with existing customers
8. Product knowledge demonstrated through value added sales, trade shows, customer questions, product quality resolution. Ability to identify best product for customer needs.
9. Provide employees with the training in the areas of customer service, quality, up-to-date industry information, and cross training for safe and efficient work operations.
10. Ensure OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety, environmental regulation compliance and NRMCA Certification Compliance.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.
