Plant Accounting Manager manages all financial control and accounting activities of a plant including general and cost accounting, payables/receivables and payroll. Ensures the plant's financial control processes and systems comply with company policies, applicable regulations, and provide required information. Being a Plant Accounting Manager monitors plant operation results against operating plans and direct the preparation of financial, production output, and other reports used to measure and control plant activities and costs. Leads the plant financial and capital budgeting process. Additionally, Plant Accounting Manager recommends and implements programs to improve productivity, increase efficiencies, and reduce costs. May require a CPA. Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Plant Accounting Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Plant Accounting Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Supervisory Responsibility:
This position directly manages the plant leadership and administrative team including the Senior Maintenance and Facilities Manager, Warehouse Manager, Production Supervisors, Plant Administrator and Plant Coordinator.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time salaried position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday. Expectations of 45-50 hours per week. Facility runs M-F, 24 hours with sanitation on weekends. As a plant manager, you will be expected to respond to the after-hours needs of the plant when necessary.

Physical Requirements:
This position will involve work in both an office and plant setting to include standing/sitting for extended periods of time, safely walking to, from and around the plant on even walking surfaces, climbing stairs and being exposed to plant equipment and noise. This role will often be exposed to temperatures between 33-50 degrees Fahrenheit and PPE is required in certain areas.
