Plant Maintenance Manager oversees the plans for routine preventative maintenance and scheduled turnaround events at a plant or production facility. Estimates required work requests and maintains a consistent tracking system for work orders. Being a Plant Maintenance Manager leads inspection to ensure an effective preventative maintenance procedure and framework. Works closely with technicians, engineers, operations, and managers to establish a schedule of proactive maintenance activities during appropriate downtime. Additionally, Plant Maintenance Manager utilizes planning and scheduling methods to ensure the most effective and least disruptive maintenance possible. Typically uses a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking and planning maintenance. Manages spare parts inventory to ensure the availability of required parts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. May require a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification. Typically reports to a manager. The Plant Maintenance Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor daily shift operations; including but not limited to supporting production deadlines, coordinate with other team members to divide tasks, product flow, shift hand offs, maintenance and repairs, maintenance of production metrics.
Coordinate with the Shipping Coordinator to ensure orders are staged, documents completed, and process is followed.
Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment in the production of foam glass aggregate. Processes to include but not limited to material blending and furnace operation.
Execute raw material storage and staging utilizing an electric forklift.
Operate telehandlers for aggregate transport, storage, bagging and truck loading.
Execute daily standard machine & facilities maintenance functions - clean & inspect, minor machine/system adjustments & repairs, facility housekeeping.
Perform finished product Quality Control including sample collection, prep, analysis & documentation.
Assist in the creation and maintenance of SOPs.
Follow and enforce all safety guidelines and procedures (PPE, equipment, facility, etc.).
Any additional tasked deemed fitting to the efficient operation of the facility.
Empowered to take decisions in the absence of the Plant Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred, not required)
PREFERRED SKILLS
Effective communication skills
Mechanical & electrical aptitude
Forklift/heavy equipment driving experience
Highly self-motivated with ability to work within a team
Demonstrated leadership skills
2 years’ experience in manufacturing environment
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL
Must be able to lift 50lbs.
Duties include indoor and outdoor work regardless of inclement weather.
Work may entail both sitting and standing for extended periods.
Environment may include dust, loud machinery, and use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
