Plant Manager directs a plant or production facility's overall operations. Sets and implements policies and procedures that guide plant operations' productivity, quality, and cost efficiency. Being a Plant Manager utilizes operational metrics to analyze productivity and set performance targets to achieve production goals. Develops and deploys manufacturing practices focused on quality and continuous improvement. Additionally, Plant Manager develops and implements plant safety and security inspections, auditing, and training procedures to meet OSHA and other required regulations. Collaborates with multi-functional plant teams, including finance, engineering, materials, quality assurance, and human resources. Leads or participates in labor relations negotiations and engages with union leadership involving plant operations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or equivalent. Typically reports to senior management. The Plant Manager manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. The company is seeking a Plant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Kapolei, HI plant. The Plant Manager will be responsible for ensuring the plant meets or exceeds production goals and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, pneumatics, plant operations, quality contol and has excpetional leadership skills.
Responsibilities
Manage the production process from start to finish, including production planning, production scheduling, material handling, and QC checks.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure that all aspects of the production process are followed and met.
Ensure that all safety regulations are followed at all times.
Ensure that all safety standards are met at all times.
Ensure that all safety policies are followed at all times.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Manage staff and provide direction when necessary.
Work closely with the Purchasing Department to ensure that all product is being produced in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Work closely with manufacturers to ensure the roasters and packaging equipment is well maintained and running properly
Perform any and all repairs on the packaing machinery as needed
Work closely with the Director of Operations to work the production schedule
This job is very hand on as all the equipment manufacturers are located off island. You need to very hand on in being able to maintain and repair equipment.
