Being a Plant Operations Manager analyzes production metrics and makes recommendations for improvements and solutions to issues that are identified. Oversees staffing and development of all production supervisors and staff. Additionally, Plant Operations Manager ensures safe operations and adherence to regulatory requirements. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Plant Operations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes.
