YOUR LIFE AS A PLUMBING ESTIMATOR - PLUMBING MANAGER

This full-time position typically works Monday - Friday, 7 am - 3 pm.

As a Plumbing Estimator - Plumbing Manager, you ensure we charge our customers the proper amount for every job we perform. In this estimating position, you divide your time between the office and the field as you review drawings and specifications to determine the costs of our projects. Focused on accuracy and efficiency, you use estimating software to prepare project-specific proposal documents.

As you develop relationships with local material suppliers and equipment vendors, you solicit current pricing of plumbing fixtures, piping, and other materials. You understand that preliminary design work may be required to complete estimates. After communicating the estimate and scope of work to the project manager and upper management, you prove your expert ability to manage project timelines.

Additionally, you play the important role of managing and providing leadership to our crew of plumbers. You oversee the recruiting, scheduling, evaluating, and training of our field technicians. Organized and efficient, you ensure that our plumbers are provided with the materials and equipment they need to finish tasks on schedule. As a hands-on manager, you earn the respect of your team by assisting with technical work and providing on-the-job coaching.

With the responsibility of meeting revenue and gross profit goals, you oversee the implementation of various installation and repair projects and make sure they are completed on time and on budget. As a team player, you work closely with other departments to transfer all service work data necessary for payroll, billing, accounts payable, vehicle management, and human resource management functions. Clients appreciate your excellent communication skills as you answer questions and provide work progress updates. You take pride in helping our projects come together seamlessly and providing valuable leadership to our plumbers!

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• 6 years of experience as a plumber
• 2 years of estimating experience

Additional years of experience as a plumber is preferred but not required. If you can meet these requirements and perform this estimating and management job as described above, we would be happy to have you as part of our team!
