Silver Spur Plumbing and Heating is looking for a Wyoming licensed journeyman/journeywoman plumber. Those with licenses in other states must be willing to test in Wyoming within 30 days of starting employment.

Silver Spur is a family owned and operated, Cheyenne business. Our owner is a master plumber with 15 years of residential service, new construction and commercial experience. Job responsibilities include:

• Lifting and carrying heavy loads
• Hands-on duties and working with power tools
• Ability to think critically
• Flexibility in the day to day jobs
• Being well-organized and detail oriented
• Answering client questions
• Following the Master plumber's instructions
• Reading and interpreting blueprints to assess or plan plumbing installations and layouts
• Installing, maintaining and repairing plumbing systems and fixtures
• Cutting and assembling pipes, tubes, fittings, and fixtures
• Inspecting and testing plumbing systems for safety, functionality, and code compliance
• Troubleshooting and resolving problems
• Rotating on-call schedule
• Drain cleaning for residential and commercial sites
• Teaching and training apprentice plumbers to plumbing code standards

Journeyman/Journeywoman Plumber Requirements:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Trade school diploma or completed apprenticeship
• 4 years of experience as a plumber
• Valid plumbing license
• Adept at using the basic tools of the trade
• Good math skills for accurate measurements
• Excellent manual dexterity
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Good working knowledge of water supply and heating systems
• Good interpersonal skills and patience
• Experience with new construction
