Policy Change Supervisor supervises a group of insurance policy change technicians to ensure that policy changes and requests are carried out according to established guidelines. Determines action on changes for which a policyholder has applied, but which are not covered by policy provisions, and computes costs or allowances for policy changes. Being a Policy Change Supervisor contacts policy owners and field agents with pertinent information that may affect a policy change. Does not have underwriting approval. The Policy Change Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Our work yields actionable information to guide decisions in wide-ranging policy areas, from health, education, early childhood, and family support to nutrition, employment, disability, and international development.
We are seeking part-time, temporary nutrition research supervisors for a nationwide school nutrition study that is assessing the nutritional quality and cost of school meals. Nutrition research supervisors will monitor the activities of nutrition research assistants who will be reviewing completed menu surveys to identify missing data and follow up with School Nutrition Managers to retrieve this data. Nutrition research supervisors will assess their productivity and accuracy, and work with project staff to resolve issues that arise during the process.
Positions start in early February 2025 and will likely last through August, with the possibility of continuing work on other study tasks for additional months. Positions require a minimum commitment of 24 hours per week, and scheduling is flexible between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. All work will be completed in-person in our Cambridge office, located between Harvard and Central Square in Cambridge.
