Policy Processing Clerk, Sr. jobs in Ohio

Ferrous Processing and Trading a business of Cleveland-Cliffs Steel has an immediate opportunity for a Scale Clerk (Non-Ferrous) at our Cleveland operation. Responsible for weighing all inbound and outbound material by the box, inspecting loose loads to direct them to proper unloading areas, and assisting in the details of purchases.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Accurately inspect all materials ensuring correct weights, materials description, and grade for all inbound and outbound loads
• Process non-ferrous materials (brass, copper, aluminum)
• Operates scale computer, applying correct material and inventory codes
• Assist with unloading and loading trucks with a forklift when needed.
• Ensure accurate documentation of scale transactions
• Follow detailed specifications for inbound and outbound freight
• Communicate effectively with transportation, customers, management, and yard employees
• Report fraudulent activity, and report all accidents and injuries timely
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• XRF analyzer gun experience preferred
• Forklift experience is a plus
• Two (2) years of non-ferrous metals experience preferred
• Basic math, computer, account reconciliation, and data entry skills
• Able to lift 50lbs
• Ability to establish priorities and manage multiple tasks at once
• Ability to complete assignments promptly with attention to detail
• Work cooperatively with other employees and the public
• Pre-Employment background required
