Performs routine patient assessments, scores sleep records, documents other test results, and collects and transmits biological specimens for analysis. Being a Polysomnographic Technician typically requires an associate degree or its equivalent and certification as a Polysomnographic Technician. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Polysomnographic (Sleep) Technician Trainee
Position Summary:
A sleep trainee develops competency in and performs basic sleep testing procedures and associated interventions. The sleep trainee works under direct supervision of a Registered Sleep Technologist with the goal of obtaining board certification in Polysomnographic technology.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Ability to successfully complete an accredited polysomnographic training program and obtain the Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credential within twenty four (24) months of hire.
Current allied health credential as defined and accepted by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists, for Healthcare Credential Pathway only.
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or successful completion of the course within one week of hire.
