The Portfolio Manager reviews the customer's goals and develops investment strategies that will attain and support those objectives with acceptable risk. Responsible for managing, evaluating, and monitoring key or complex investment portfolios comprised of bonds, securities, and equity funds in a banking environment. Being a Portfolio Manager monitors daily investment activities to be aware of market changes. Considers legal and tax impact of investment decisions. In addition, Portfolio Manager may manage a team of portfolio manages. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. Requires Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 1. Being a Portfolio Manager gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     As a portfolio manager you will leverage capital market knowledge and experience along with the daily interaction with other portfolio managers and analysts to manage the investment portfolios of the larger and more complex agency and fiduciary accounts of Associated Trust Company, N.A. ("ATC") in a risk controlled manner. Oversee assets under management of approximately $150,000,000 to $400,000,000 generating fees of approximately $1,000,000 to $2,500,000. Responsible for supporting Wealth Management and Institutional Services (WMIS) marketing/sales of investment management services and is expected to assist in annual sales of $40,000 in fees.

    This person will also:

    • Through regular, direct interaction with clients, develop and maintain appropriate investment strategy based on client circumstances, objectives, and risk tolerance. Directly responsible for more complex, visible relationships that may involve multi-generational family relationships, outside consultants, and/or foundation or endowment boards of directors. Responsible for the effective communication of past portfolio results and current/future portfolio strategy with a broad spectrum of clients.
    • Be responsible for directing components of the ongoing management and administration of the investment function through leadership of or membership in teams involved in one or more of the following: Development and administration of compliance policies and procedures; Providing individual security research to the group; Providing external manager/fund research to the group; Providing macro research and asset allocation analysis to the group; Managing model portfolios and/or Research and development of new investment processes/products.
    • Execute strategy and monitor portfolios within the framework established by the Chief Investment Officer ("CIO") in adherence to the compliance policies and procedures of ATC.
    • May provide guidance to security analysts or entry level portfolio managers.


    Education

    Bachelor's Degree Finance or Economics Required

    Experience

    10 years Relevant business experience Required

    Licenses and Certifications

    CFA-Charted Financial Analyst Preferred
