The Marketing Director will oversee the day-to-day marketing activities and manage a team based in the US and Puerto Rico. This individual will manage external resources to ensure smooth execution in public relations, digital and social media marketing, print and digital advertising, company website, printed collateral, email marketing, direct mail, and other tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage and build a marketing team to support the company’s growth.
• Develop marketing communications plans and campaigns to achieve Fortress Power’s marketing objectives.
• Develop and implement Fortress Power’s content plan, which may include press releases, story pitches, blog posts, white papers, images, infographics, videos, etc.
• Analyze target market information to identify and implement effective marketing approaches.
• Prepare effective advertising campaigns and promotional activities that will support company products.
• Ensure that the Fortress Power website is up-to-date and supports the overall marketing communications plan and brand attributes.
• Increase Fortress Power’s social media presence and followers (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Linked, Twitter and so on).
• Support Leadership to develop and implement a public relations strategy to establish Fortress Power as a thought leader in energy storage through tactics such as engagement with local and industry media, speaking opportunities, press relations, article placements, special events, etc.
• Research and organize events and home-shows for Fortress Power to have a presence at and coordinate activities to support such shows.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field
• 10 years of related marketing experience and previous management experience
• Solar and/or energy storage industry experience preferred.
• Social media savvy and know how to use Adobe Suite, Email Marketing, WordPress, Video editors.
• Thorough understanding of market developments, marketing strategies and practices
• Exceptionally strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex, rapid growth environment and a goal focused, self-starter who can work independently.
• Spanish speaking skills preferred.
