Rare Element Resources, Inc. (“RER”) is a publicly traded mineral resource company with rare earth mineral interests within the Bear Lodge Project, in northeast Wyoming. RER is currently developing a rare earth processing and separation demonstration plant, with its strategic partner, General Atomics, an affiliate of the Company’s majority shareholder. The demonstration plant, located in Upton, Wyoming, will process already stockpiled material from the Bear Lodge Project utilizing the Company’s proprietary technology. The $44 million demonstration project is being completed under a 50% cost-share cooperative agreement with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).
RER, along with its project partners, is currently constructing the demonstration plant, with planned operations to commence in mid-2024. The Plant Manager position will assist with the site transition from construction to plant operations and serve as the onsite manager throughout operations and decommissioning, with a total tenure expected to commence in March/April 2024, and continue for an estimated 18-to-24-month period.
