POSITION SUMMARY:
The Power Plant Maintenance position oversees and conducts maintenance operations within our facility. This role is crucial in ensuring the functionality and efficiency of our Physical Plant, Air Compressor Plants, Domestic Hot Water Systems, Air Handling Systems, and Critical Climate Control Systems. The ideal candidate will be meticulous in maintaining our building's control systems, ensuring cleanliness, and managing the serviceability of special tools required for their areas of responsibility.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Conducts comprehensive inspections and preventative maintenance on facility systems including the Physical Plant, Air Compressor Plant, Domestic Hot Water Systems, Air Handling Systems, Chemical Treatment Systems, and power plant machinery such as generators, boilers, chillers, fire suppression systems, and HVAC equipment.
Execute repairs on diverse mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, including part replacements, welding, and quality assurance of operational standards.
Oversee the maintenance of Data Center Climate Control Systems and assess the performance of external contractors servicing these critical systems.
Provide technical support in system operations to guarantee peak performance and strict adherence to safety standards.
Evaluate and document fuel storage systems, ensuring compliance with regulations for underground storage tanks and fuel usage reporting.
Respond promptly to emergency situations, including unscheduled repairs and outages, to minimize downtime.
Monitors building control and Data Center Climate Control systems, diagnoses functional issues, and collaborates with contractors to ensure continuous operation and system improvements.
Maintains the building's control systems, upholds the cleanliness of operational areas, and oversees the upkeep and readiness of specialized tools necessary for assigned responsibilities.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred Degree: Trade, Tech or Vocational Education
Years of experience: 2 Years of Experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Efficient time management capabilities
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical and control systems
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical diagrams and manuals
Ability to work collaboratively with DC Maintenance and Facilities team members, sharing expertise and coordinating maintenance efforts.
