Job Description Summary

• Mountain Materials, Valley Stone – Olive Hill, KY., a division of Oldcastle Materials, is currently seeking a Plant Operator. This position requires operating a crusher/screening plant, as well as various manual tasks including but not limited to the following…
  • Keeping the plant running efficiently, checking, and maintaining proper oil levels where needed. Laboring and minor servicing of the plant as needed, assisting with ground and plant maintenance. Operating skid-steerer for plant cleanup.

Requirements

• Plant Operation & performing basic maintenance when required.
• Ability to weld and use cutting torch is a plus.
• Clean and maintain work area daily.
• Ability to do strenuous work in varying weather conditions.
• General Housekeeping – shoveling, sweeping, etc.
• Other duties assigned by supervisor

Physical Demands

• The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by and employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above their shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move from 10 to 50 pounds.

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred but not required.
