    We are seeking an experienced Field Service Supervisor to join our team. This role will be responsible for the setting up and driving the success of solar battery solutions for our San Luis Obispo Solar Battery program, while planning the continued growth of Electriq Power in the area. The position initially consists of setting up and managing a team to install residential solar and battery projects grouped geographically within the San Luis Obispo area. The Field Service Supervisor will manage several teams in the field, and is a critical role that will make an impact on our growing business and take on new challenges at an exciting time. This position will help develop the processes and tools for the field, ensuring the safe operation and installation of our products, while ensuring the smooth daily operation of the warehouse. This position reports directly to the Director, Field Services and will cover San Luis Obispo County.


    Responsibilities:

    • Lead the Solar and Battery business towards successful installation, commissioning and maintenance while ensuring that all crews are performing installations safely and within all OSHA and company guidelines.
    • Supervises and works directly with internal crew leads and subcontractors to ensure installations are done on time and to Electriq Power’s specifications.
    • Ensure the quality installation of all solar and battery installations.
    • Analyze inspection reports and provide feedback on approved resolutions.
    • Review and approve installation quotes and expenses.
    • Review and approve timecards for field employees and contractors.
    • Update cases with comments, scheduled dates and resolutions.
    • Upload all reports and photos from inspections and repairs to cases.
    • Create weekly reports providing feedback to sub-contractors on priority of visits, new installs and repairs. Cross functionally collaborating with Customer Success, Safety, Finance and Services teams.
    • Assist with escalations needing repair or revisit.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot system components to resolve electrical issues.
    • Assist in rescheduling for installation crews when needed.
    • Conduct weekly quality and safety audits.
    • Drive Installation best practices.
    • Drive safety and quality initiatives
    • Coordinate with the General Manager and service coordinators on a frequent basis to streamline field visits to collect needed information, schedule updates, documents, and review efficiency of scheduling etc.
    • Other job duties include but are not limited to - equipment purchasing, hardware store runs, equipment unloading and loading, answering homeowner and technician questions, and participating in various activities necessary to make a solar and battery installation successful.

    Requirements:

    • Electrical/Solar/ Construction Experience
    • 5 years solar or battery storage or related experience required
    • 1 Experience leading a crew in PV/BESS or construction installations
    • 2 years of O&M experience
    • Ability to read and interpret single line drawings
    • Strong understanding of NEC codes with emphasis on residential PV installations
    • Proficient in the installation of grid-tied and microinverter applications
    • Strong computer skills
    • Excellent customer service skills

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to make multiple trips up and down a ladder, daily
    • Ability to lift, squat, deadlift, pull and carry up to 50 lbs., daily
    • Ability to work at the ground level, kneeling, or bending daily
    • Ability to kneel and stand repeatedly (lunges), on a daily basis
    • Comfortable in tight spaces (attic, crawlspaces, etc)
    • Must be able to work on rooftops with various angles and surfaces which requires frequent bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, kneeling, crawling, turning, standing, and balance
    • Visual acuity to drive motor vehicles/mobile equipment/read printed and electronic documents
    • Hearing capacity to receive, perceive, and react to common driving/construction environment noises

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • C10 license
    • OSHA 30 Certification
    • Electrical Journeyman's License
    • NABCEP certification

    Education:

    • Associates Degree - or an equivalent combination of formal education, on-the-job training, and/or work and life experience
    • BA/BS degree plus


    Salary

    • $80,000 - $100,000 annually
    • The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for this position only and in the geographical location noted.
