Position Summary:

• Uses the ERP system to process Material Requirements Planning (MRP) jobs
• Reviews and updates operations in the ERP system
• Updates information in the ERP system as directed
• Utilizes production logs and job log sheets to ensure accuracy and make corrections when needed
• Tracks and audits production employees’ attendance and applied labor
• Works with purchasing to schedule and coordinates materials
• Contributes to team efforts by effectively communicating and working well with members of other departments and personnel to accomplish assigned tasks and projects.
• Track and monitor material advance working with purchasing to verify on time delivery.
• Coordinate outsourcing of parts to and from other sites
• Manages multiple projects with a thorough understanding of specific vendor needs and schedules.
• Continuously monitors progress on daily work schedules to assure that satisfactory progress is being made to meet Sabre customer demands.
• Assures accurate information by gathering specifications, drawings, and other related documents for review; compiles documentation into the Vantage-Epicor system. Contributes to a safe working environment by being responsible for quality, safety, cleanliness and organization of assigned work area.
• Reviews shortages daily based on the production schedule and through email communications.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: 2 years recent administrative or related experience working in steel manufacturing environment is preferred; 1 or more years recent experience using an ERP/MRP system is preferred

Skills & Abilities:

• Must possess professional and effective English verbal and written communication skills, be detail oriented and self-driven
• Must be a team player and able to effectively multi-task, with a high level of accuracy, in a fast-paced work environment
• Must be flexible to adapt to change and updates regularly
• Must have a basic mathematical aptitude.
• Basic knowledge of blueprints desired.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Outlook. 
• Regular and on-time attendance.
• Work in your shift as scheduled.
• Must work well with others.
  

 Physical Requirements:

• Position works primarily an office environment requiring the use of office equipment such as a computer, copier, fax, phone, etc. most of the day
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to type, finger, handle or grasp, reach with hands and arms
• Frequently required to sit, talk and hear
• Position is occasionally required to visit to the production floor
• Must wear required PPE including safety glasses, steel-toe metatarsal boots and hearing protection at all times while on the production floor
• Occasionally required to lift and /or move up to 25 pounds
