We have an opening for a Production Technician position in Albany, GA at our Flint Power Systems Division. Flint Power Systems markets custom-engineered power units comprised of engines, cooling packages and other accessories (exhaust components, compressors, flywheel housings, turbos, auxiliary drives, wiring harnesses, enclosures, etc.) required to meet customer needs. The Production Technician is primarily responsible for assembly of the engine packages. Production work takes place in both an individual and assembly line configuration. 

Position Specifics:

Department: Flint Power Systems Parts

Reports to: Production Manager

Supervises: None

Job Status: Non-Exempt

Essential Functions:

• Assembly of components using both powered and hand tools
• Identify, locate and document parts needed to fill customer orders
• Operate forklift to move engines 
• Operate jib crane/hoist to lift engines for ease of work
• Assemble wiring harnesses
• Utilization of computer to program engines
• Connecting and running built engines for testing
• Occasional painting of engines and/or components
• Works independently and part of a team
• Organization, manual dexterity, mechanical aptitude necessary for job

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

• 1 years of experience 
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to operate a computer
• Ability to operate specialized tooling, read mechanical drawings and wiring schematics
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
