Precision Assembler performs precision assembling, aligning, or adjusting within very tight tolerances. Follows schematics and specification documents to complete measuring, fitting, wiring, and soldering of components to assemble units. Being a Precision Assembler calibrates and tests subcomponents and finished products to ensure quality and functionality. Inspects produced parts for quality assurance, identifies defects and makes adjustments. Additionally, Precision Assembler uses standard hand and power tools, and precision measuring tools such as micrometers, verniers, and dial calipers. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Precision Assembler works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Primary Responsibility:
To work alongside the General Labor/Assembly team at QuikCut. To meet high expectations and standards set by QuikCut.
Major Responsibilities:
1. Be able to lift 5 – 90 pounds with help of a magnet on a consistent basis.
2. Handle and transport materials (steel, aluminum, stainless steel) and equipment (drills and grinders)
3. Remove pieces of steel from a skeleton and stack, grind and sort them on to a pallet.
4. Follow a template to cut and install insulation and plywood.
5. Use power hand tools and machinery (forklift) when necessary.
a. *Certification required to drive a forklift*
6. Assist Laser Operators, Press Break Operators or other associates as needed.
7. Check measurements by using calipers when using an Air Press.
8. Climb an 8-foot ladder and or install parts underneath a raised platform.
9. Tape off projects to be painted.
10. Use a sander to remove paint runs or help prep projects for painting.
11. Roll paint for quick fixes to marred paint on a project
Additional Responsibilities:
12. Follow all instructions from supervisor to perform manual labor.
