Precision Assembler performs precision assembling, aligning, or adjusting within very tight tolerances. Follows schematics and specification documents to complete measuring, fitting, wiring, and soldering of components to assemble units. Being a Precision Assembler calibrates and tests subcomponents and finished products to ensure quality and functionality. Inspects produced parts for quality assurance, identifies defects and makes adjustments. Additionally, Precision Assembler uses standard hand and power tools, and precision measuring tools such as micrometers, verniers, and dial calipers. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Precision Assembler works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline.     Position Summary:
    The Assembler is responsible for performing in process and final assembly of all Chembio rapid diagnostic tests and related sub-components. This includes detailed inspection of product for defects.
    Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Loading automated and semi-automated equipment with raw materials and sub-assemblies.
    • Labeling raw materials and sub-assemblies.
    • Keeping components segregated and identified.
    • Maintaining high quality standards during the assembly operation.
    • Maintaining clean work areas.
    • Maintaining gowning requirements when in manufacturing areas.
    • Follow company procedures.
    • Willingness to work OT when required
    • Can lift up to 30 lbs
    • Performing other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Lead Person.
    Qualifications Required:
    • High School Diploma or equivalency (GED)
    • Knowledge of manual and automated assembly techniques.
    • Training in Safety, ISO, QSR and GMP
    • Training on Company SOP’s and work instructions
    • Prior manufacturing experience a plus
