Precision Assembler performs precision assembling, aligning, or adjusting within very tight tolerances. Follows schematics and specification documents to complete measuring, fitting, wiring, and soldering of components to assemble units. Being a Precision Assembler calibrates and tests subcomponents and finished products to ensure quality and functionality. Inspects produced parts for quality assurance, identifies defects and makes adjustments. Additionally, Precision Assembler uses standard hand and power tools, and precision measuring tools such as micrometers, verniers, and dial calipers. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Precision Assembler works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Position Description: The assembly team is responsible for the final assembly of complex aerospace parts just prior to shipment to our aerospace customers. This job is highly technical and detailed. Previous experience in aerospace assembly is required. Position Responsibilities:
Assembles products or sub-assemblies according to verbal or written instructions, or by following drawings or diagrams.
Uses hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications using jigs and templates when required.
Positions parts in specified relationship to each other under extremely close tolerance conditions.
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
Notifies management of product discrepancies or equipment malfunctions.
Qualifications: Education and Experience -
~ Must have experience in the aerospace industry.
~ Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
~ Self motivated and works well with others

Regularly: Up to 20 lbs
Occasionally: Up to 40 lbs
