Job Summary:

• The press operator will operate and maintain offset and digital sheetfed printing presses.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate half size sheetfed offset and digital printing presses
• Verify job specifications including size, color, and stock from job order
• Install plates on offset press (no auto plate hangers), configure press including ink, grippers, rollers, blankets and stock
• Review press sheets against proof prior to running job and throughout run, making adjustments as needed
• Troubleshoot issues with presses and make basic repairs
• Manage print jobs from start to finish
• Perform routine maintenance on presses
• Print jobs maintaining optimum print quality and production speed,
• Complete jobs in an efficient, safe, and cost-effective manner
• Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment
• Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines

Physical Requirements:

• Physically able to operate printing presses
• Able to bend or kneel frequently
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
