Location: Lenexa, KS

Pay: $827 - $938 per week based on $20.68 - $23.45 per hour and hours worked

Schedule: 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, two days per week and every other weekend

Job Overview:

As a Printing Press Assistant, you will play a vital role in our printing operations by assisting in the preparation of the press and all job components for print jobs, making changes to inks during printing, and ensuring the smooth operation of the printing press. Your responsibilities will include loading specified anilox, ink, film, and other job components, monitoring ink viscosity, handling finished film, managing hazardous waste, and performing rework as necessary.

Job Duties:

• Assist in preparing the press and all job components for print jobs, including loading specified anilox, ink, film, etc.
• Make changes to inks as needed during printing, while checking viscosity of ink on an hourly basis.
• Take finished film off the machine and load it onto pallets for pick-up.
• Retrieve and return ink to and from the ink room and clean the machine for the next job.
• Manage and handle hazardous waste according to safety protocols and guidelines.
• Perform rework as necessary to ensure quality standards are met.

Qualifications:

• Must have previous experience in a printing or manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate machinery.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues.
