(Formerly known as Thomas Engineering Company was founded in 1962) Now called R&M High Speed Stampings. Our 90,000 sq. ft. manufacturing building is located in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. We specialize in high-quality, close-tolerance micro-miniature top medium sized metal stampings and assemblies to a wide range of industries and markets. We offer rapid prototyping, tool design and construction, ranging from simple stamping dies to complex progressive stamping and forming dies.

What is a Punch Press Operator?
A punch press operator is responsible for operating and maintaining punch press machines in manufacturing settings. Their primary task involves setting up the machine according to blueprints or specifications and feeding materials into the press for stamping or punching operations. These operators ensure that the machine runs smoothly, monitor the production process for quality control, and make adjustments as necessary to meet production quotas. They are also responsible for troubleshooting any issues that arise during operation and performing routine maintenance tasks to keep the equipment in optimal condition. Attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and adherence to safety protocols are essential for success in this role.
In this role, you will:
Operate and set up Punch Press machines
Ensure compliance with company safety and quality standards
Other duties as assigned
To succeed in this role, you must:
Accurately use set up tools, feeders, coilers, and coil straighteners
Inspect and record part dimensions
Troubleshoot causes when parts do not conform to specs
Unload and package finished parts
Have good math ability and problem solving skills
Stand continuously and lift objects up to 50 pounds
