Essential Functions and Basic Duties

Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.

• Prepares work to be accomplished

Adhere to production schedule to prioritize work flow for all press operations

• Update pressroom setup manual
• Webtron 750
• Up to 4 Color Jobs

Prepares press for use

• Load stock
• Adjust settings
• Pour ink
• Verify correct plate for job
• Match Cylinder size to plate

• Mount plates to print cylinders
• Mount proper die if required
• Set cutting blades

Adhere to quality procedures

• Check first tape off press

• Check color
• Check print
• Check length and width

• Monitor output to ensure quality is maintained.
• Ensure quality control checks are being completed
• Make adjustments to machinery/equipment to ensure continued operation
• Complete all paperwork upon completion of job

• Ensures operation of equipment

• Complete preventive maintenance requirements
• Order necessary parts
• Troubleshoot for presses and rewinder
• Clean equipment as required
• Inform Team Leader when repairs are needed

• Maintains supplies inventory

• Track and maintain raw tape inventory levels
• Complete cycle counts and participate in physical inventories
• Track and maintain all shop supplies
• Keep inventory supplies organized and in proper location at all times.
• Anticipate needed supplies

Contributes to the team effort

• Provide assistance in rewind and tape boxing activities as required
• Conduct time studies as required
• Follows all Standard Operating Procedures

Maintain work area

• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Follow all safety precautions
• Dispose of waste ink and shop supplies in the barrels provided

• Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication, coordination and working relations with all team leaders and team members.

• Communicates with Sales team regarding artwork and provides artwork information to appropriate vendor
• Completes work order, documents usage an explains overages
• Notify Team Leader of any discrepancies or defective product
• Assist team leader in managing the flow of work and product through the area
• Other duties as assigned.
