Completes print production jobs on various types of printing press machines, including digital, flexographic, web, screen, or others. Being a Printing Press Operator performs in-process quality inspections utilizing standard testing protocols. Conducts visual inspection of samples prior to running job. In addition, Printing Press Operator completes all required production logs and documentation. Interprets equipment diagnostics, troubleshoots breakdowns, and makes necessary adjustments to complete the job. Performs regular maintenance, cleaning, and changeovers of press from one job to another. Maintains a clean and safe workspace. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. Being a Printing Press Operator independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. Summary
This position functions as the Assistant Commercial Sheetfed Press Operator. Responsible for the daily workflow schedule set by the department manager, quality control, and machine maintenance. A very high level of print quality is expected from each job printed, as well as, meeting and exceeding production standards. The role also includes working with others in the company to provide the highest level of customer service.
