**Overview:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Grocery Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our grocery store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in grocery management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

**Responsibilities:**

• Oversee the store's inventory, including ordering and receiving products, and conducting regular stock audits to ensure accurate inventory levels.

• Manage and train a team of grocery clerks, including employee orientation and performance evaluations.

• Analyze sales data and market trends to inform purchasing decisions and optimize product placement.

• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate prices and improve product offerings.

• Ensure accurate and efficient use of point-of-sale (POS) systems to manage sales, track inventory, and analyze store performance.

• Manage and maintain the store's budget, including controlling expenses and identifying opportunities for cost savings.

• Implement effective inventory control strategies to minimize waste and maximize profits.

• Collaborate with other store managers and department heads to ensure a cohesive and customer-focused store experience.

• Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, including in-store promotions, product demonstrations, and community outreach.

**Experience:**

• Proven experience in grocery store management, preferably with a large retail chain or independent grocery store.

• Strong background in store operations, including inventory management, purchasing, and employee supervision.

• Experience with POS systems and inventory control software.

• Multilingual skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customer groups.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, including evenings and weekends.

• Experience with budgeting and financial management, including cost control and profit optimization.

**Skills:**

• Strong mathematical skills for analyzing sales data and managing inventory.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills for managing a team of grocery clerks.

• Experience with buying and sourcing products for a grocery store.

• Proficiency with POS systems and inventory control software.

• Strong budgeting and financial management skills for managing the store's budget and controlling expenses.

• Experience with employee orientation and performance evaluations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
