The Principal Enterprise Architect role is vital to helping drive and manage wide architectural initiatives across the Forge SaaS Cloud and Honeywell’s cutting-edge Forge SaaS applications. This role requires one to work with functional architects, other technical architects, product managers, operations teams, SIT and PSR teams, compliance teams, and development teams to produce a technical design roadmap that is a well-socialized, achievable, and effective expression of the different stakeholder interests. The Principal Enterprise Architect must have thoroughly internalized enterprise architecture patterns (and can recognize anti-patterns) and know all the necessary supplementary requirements necessary for a platform to function.
The Principal Enterprise Architect must internalize the business vision and drive and maintain alignment between Product Management and the rest of the Forge engineering organization. This pursuit of alignment and clarity must manifest in the meetings the Principal Platform Architect participates in/leads as well as in the documentation that the Principal Platform Architect has authored or reviewed. The Principal Platform Architect will be required to pull together and lead architectural initiatives that cross functional domains. The Principal Platform Architect will be an active mentor to other technical architects in a way that produces higher quality output and employee retention.
