    This is an open position with FirstEnergy Pennsylvania Electric Company, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. [ME]

    This posting is for a Circuit Reliability Coordinator in York, PA.

    Job Requirements:

    • Assist in completing commission worst performing circuit analysis by performing circuit inspections as required.
    • Assist with processing of all PM inspection information produced by the CRC’s.
    • Collect field data as necessary for quarterly and annual WPC (worst performing circuits) report for the Operating Company.
      Assists with updating orders as necessary.
    • Perform overhead and underground distribution circuit inspections in accordance with established practices, identifying and
      assisting with the prioritization of items for repair.
    • Perform post-storm circuit sweeps on areas identified by operations, identifying and prioritizing line and forestry issues.
      Identify and report potentially unsafe conditions involving existing facilities.
    • Will be required to work alone in remote, isolated locations (in non-storm related mode) while performing inspections of
      electrical facilities including transmission lines, substations and distribution lines.
    • Assist management with completing data management duties by synching hand held devices and ensuring that field data is
      stored in proper electronic databases.
    • Performs incidental retagging of facilities.
    • Will perform the installation of ground molding and guy guards when using a company issued vehicle.
    • Performs other related duties as required.

    Job Qualifications:

    • Associates degree in Engineering Technology or related discipline or High School Diploma (or GED) along with 6 - 7 years
      related work experience. Related work experience is knowledge of construction and maintenance practices (i.e. substation
      overhead lines and underground lines), procedures, work methods, materials, equipment and tools which would be used to
      determine the resources necessary to perform construction and maintenance work activities.
    • Must have knowledge of the purpose, function, and operating characteristics of equipment and systems (i.e. substation,
      overhead lines, and underground lines), construction methods, maintenance practices, service practices, standards and
      procedures
    • Must be proficient with PC software applications including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, etc.) Outlook,
      SAP, Customer Request Work Scheduling (CREWS) Geographical Information System (GIS).
    • Must have demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
    • Must possess effective oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated interpersonal skills necessary to operate in a team or consensus decision-making environment, possessing the ability to evaluate solutions and make decisions based on knowledge of work practices and consultation with supervision.
    • Must be self-motivated with a questioning attitude to continue to learn, produce results and strengthen existing relationships.
    • Must be capable of making and holding to decisions in the performance of his/her duties.
    • Must possess a valid driver's license.
    • Must be willing and able to work:
      • Extra and/or irregular hours
      • Under unusual or special working conditions and surroundings
      • In compliance with company standards for attire
      • Away from home base for extended periods of time
