Private Banking Director oversees all aspects of private banking activities that service the needs of high net-worth clients. The Activities Director plans, organizes, and implements all fitness, health related activities and non-Food & Beverage activities in an effective, efficient, and professional manner. This position is also responsible for managing all fitness staff and facilities to include scheduling of rooms within the facility.
Essential Duties:
· Responsible for the fitness classes & all activities throughout the fitness department, including aqua aerobics.
· Assist with interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
· Attends weekly staff meetings.
· Ensures the staff is fully knowledgeable of the use and benefits of fitness classes, personal training, equipment, and activities.
· Monitors guest feedback and follow up on requests and comments.
· Manages point of sale system, online reservation system, and other technology to effectively market and communicate to the membership.
· Assist with the annual budget, revenue goals, and expenses for the related amenities in the fitness department.
· Assist in providing social media and website content to the Director of Marketing and Communication to promote activities and events.
· Responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness of all areas. (i.e., Fitness Center, Group Fitness Room, Fitness Desk, Pool)
· Responsible for the management of all outside contractors that participate in fitness.
· Monitors business volume forecast and plans accordingly in areas of manpower, productivity, costs, and other expenses.
· Responsible for implementing and maintaining excellent service to achieve guest satisfaction.
· Inspects exercise equipment and areas for cleanliness and safety. Performs light custodial duties such as wiping down equipment, and monitoring cleanliness in the pool area, spa, fitness center, and locker rooms.
· Enforces all rules and regulations in a polite and professional manner.

· Keep current on fitness industry trends
Education/Experience:
· Three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates/Licenses: Nationally recognized certifications such as ACE, AFFA, NASM, and ACSM for group instruction and/or personal training. AED, CPR, and First Aid.
Physical demands and work environment:
· Ability to bend, stretch, twist or reach, walk, stand, stoop, climb stairs, balance and/or crouch.
· Continuous repetitive motions.
· Work in hot and humid environments.
· Push, pull and lift 50 pounds.
· Experience and exposure to a wide variety of exercise equipment, instructional techniques, injury prevention, fitness/wellness counseling, and developing/interpreting personalized fitness/wellness regimens.
