Private Banking Director oversees all aspects of private banking activities that service the needs of high net-worth clients. Ensures that client relationships are developed and expanded and that the resources of the entire organization are properly leveraged to provide efficient and personalized service delivery. Being a Private Banking Director develops strategies and objectives that include deposit and loan volume goals and effective marketing plans. Implements operations, processes, and team development programs that enhance the achievement of private banking objectives. Additionally, Private Banking Director may act as a consultant for high-value or complex credit decisions. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Private Banking Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Private Banking Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. The Branch Banking Officer (BBO) provides excellent customer service, demonstrates proficient knowledge of systems and products, and supports the Branch Manager as his/her primary backup.
BBO’s provide excellent customer service by having the right attitude, exhibiting proficient understanding of systems, processes, and products, and ultimately providing customer solutions. BBO’s know how to operate systems and can train other branch personnel. BBO’s assist in growing deposits by calling customers to follow up on services they received (2x2x2), sharing bank products with customers, asking for referrals, and going out on customer calls. BBO’s serve as the primary backup to Branch Managers by modeling process expertise, submitting accurate and timely documentation, assisting with opening and closing a branch, following regulations, etc.
BBO’s should also maintain a professional image in appearance and grooming.
