Private Banking Director oversees all aspects of private banking activities that service the needs of high net-worth clients. Ensures that client relationships are developed and expanded and that the resources of the entire organization are properly leveraged to provide efficient and personalized service delivery. Being a Private Banking Director develops strategies and objectives that include deposit and loan volume goals and effective marketing plans. Implements operations, processes, and team development programs that enhance the achievement of private banking objectives. Additionally, Private Banking Director may act as a consultant for high-value or complex credit decisions. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Private Banking Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Private Banking Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. How This Role Impacts Live Oak and its People The Director, Lender Finance is responsible for the origination and execution of new lending transactions (NAV-based) to U.S-based funds as well as the portfolio management of existing clients. Live Oak’s clients consist of private credit funds and business development companies managed by institutional asset managers. What You’ll Do at Live Oak The Director, Lender Finance will have total accountability for the creation and execution of strategies to achieve corporate objectives. This includes managing an existing portfolio of Lender Finance clients, aiding in the execution of new credits, and building new relationships. How You’ll Do It Manage a portfolio of existing Lender Finance clients Analyze performance, track covenants, and monitor risk ratings of existing clients Detail-oriented with a high level of experience in reviewing, structuring, and negotiating loan documentation and term sheets Underwrite and lead the execution of new transactions Provide legal structuring and negotiation efforts for new transactions Enhance existing client relationships and build new relationships Expand capital markets contacts Participate in due diligence meetings Supervise junior analysts Gather internal and external market/competitive information Lead across teams to work collaboratively across the business Required and Preferred Experience Minimum of 5 years (7 years preferred) of prior Lender Finance underwriting, portfolio management, or capital markets experience Client-facing experience with the ability to maintain existing relationships and build new relationships Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business; MBA preferred Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics Ability to travel Adapt to a rapidly changing environment and industry trends Strong Executive presence/influence, presentation, and verbal communication skills Proficient in using financial software and systems To Thrive at Live Oak Gravitate to Growth – Shows adaptability and support for changes to improve organizational effectiveness.
