    POSITION SUMMARY

    Launch your commercial banking career by learning how to originate and service a profitable portfolio of commercial loans and treasury management services that consistently delivers the Landmark National Bank promise that Everyone starts as a customer and leaves as a friend. Develop an understanding of the Landmark customer relationship model and an understanding of all commercial banking products and services. Assist in building and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers. Represents a positive bank image through community engagement. Accountable for responsive, compliant, and confidential delivery of service to customers. Assists the team, other bank divisions, and bank leadership to develop, monitor, and achieve branch and regional goals.

    In this position, 70% to 80% of an applicant’s performance will be measured on emphasis and outcomes related to assisting in portfolio management, with the remaining balance of performance based on formal training/development, leadership/community involvement or other special projects as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS YOU POSSESS

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent banking experience. Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Business or related field is preferred.
    • Maintain a high degree of discretion and confidentiality.
    • Previous customer service experience.
    • Basic financial analytical skills.
    • Planning and time management skills.
    • Understanding of basic personal computer programs (Internet, Word, Excel, and Outlook).

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Build and maintain relationships with all customers, prospective customers, team members, and community partners.
    • Provide customer service by demonstrating the Landmark National Bank promise that Everyone starts as a customer and leaves as a friend, which begins with assisting experienced bankers meet customer and prospect commercial loan and treasury management needs with a prompt and timely response.
    • Participate in the active outreach to current and prospective customers, while learning bank profitability, growth and bank risk management objectives.
    • Learn the Landmark National Bank sales process to win commercial loans and treasury management opportunities that expand existing or close prospective banking relationships, including participation in the regional weekly sales meeting.
    • Learn the basics of collecting and analyzing financial data to make informed decisions.
    • Learn various commercial banking, treasury management, mortgage banking and retail banking products and services, while understanding how to identify cross-sale and referral opportunities.
    • Participate on a regional loan committee.
    • Learn and comply with internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies, including regular audits and internal loan reviews.
    • Collaborate with your team, other bank divisions, and bank leadership to develop, monitor, and achieve branch and regional goals.
    • Manage your professional improvement through the utilization of the quarterly Job Progress Plan and consistently meet minimum, target and optimum levels of performance.
    • Engage in Landmark National Bank culture initiatives and team success activities, including daily huddles, weekly sales meetings, and Hoopla events.
    • Represent Landmark National Bank through community engagement to advance the bank’s reputation both during and after business hours.
    • Represent the bank well in the community.
    • Adhere to bank policies and procedures.
    • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

    • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
    • Evening and weekend work based on business need.
    • Valid driver’s license.
    • Ability to travel to banks or visit clients in region.
