Process Engineer develops and optimizes continuous production and manufacturing processes to achieve the output, quality, and cost goals of the organization. Collects production data and applies standard scientific and statistical methods to analyze, document, and diagram production processes. Being a Process Engineer identifies process bottlenecks and devises solutions to resolve. Recommends changes or upgrades to equipment, work methods, or other aspects of the process to improve efficiency and utilization of resources including labor, energy and raw materials. Additionally, Process Engineer requires a bachelor's degree of engineering. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Process Engineer works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. To be a Process Engineer typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Continuous improvements and internal claim reductions as well as yield/recovery improvements. • Provide assistance to production as required. • Work with outside vendors and representatives as required. • Assist in the review and evaluation of proposed new equipment. • Communicate project objectives to team members and maintain close contact to coordinate activities with other groups within the departments. • Provide leadership to group to ensure that Company safety goals are met. Qualifications • Bachelors of Science degree in the field of engineering from an accredited four-year college or university • Preferred 5 years' experience in an industrial environment working at the shop floor and directly related with manufacturing activities • Must be hands working closely with engineering and maintenance teams • Must be self-motivated and able to work flexible hours • Must be able to troubleshoot issues and solve problems independently • Excellent computer skills including knowledge of MS Office Products, Minitab, and other operating systems.
