Process Engineer develops and optimizes continuous production and manufacturing processes to achieve the output, quality, and cost goals of the organization. Collects production data and applies standard scientific and statistical methods to analyze, document, and diagram production processes. Being a Process Engineer identifies process bottlenecks and devises solutions to resolve. Recommends changes or upgrades to equipment, work methods, or other aspects of the process to improve efficiency and utilization of resources including labor, energy and raw materials. Additionally, Process Engineer requires a bachelor's degree of engineering. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Process Engineer works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. To be a Process Engineer typically requires 0-2 years of related experience.     Essential Functions*:

    • Provide Product/Process Engineering, packing, and inspection processes for small caliber ammunition.
    • Develop, define, and document manufacturing processes, tooling and gaging.
    • Work with cross-functional groups to define and complete testing to support process changes.
    • Actively participate in and lead group activities to support continuous improvements including design, test, and evaluation of alternative materials, and components.
    • Determine methods to improve efficiency, performance, and reduce costs.
    • Work directly with production and quality department personnel to troubleshoot, find the root cause, and implement corrective actions.
    • Communicate with and maintain government customer standards.

    Position Requirements*:

    • Bachelor's Degree** in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Manufacturing Technology.
    • Two years of experience in the field or similar functions/positions.
    • Basic mechanical/machinery knowledge.
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision, manage own time effectively, and maintain control over all current projects/responsibilities.
    • Demonstrated ability to set priorities, manage high-volume workload, and willingness to be collaborative and support team efforts.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
    • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls if required.
    • This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
    • This position requires successful vetting for unescorted access in accordance with U.S. Army and Department of Defense access policies.
