Process Engineer develops and optimizes continuous production and manufacturing processes to achieve the output, quality, and cost goals of the organization. Collects production data and applies standard scientific and statistical methods to analyze, document, and diagram production processes. Being a Process Engineer identifies process bottlenecks and devises solutions to resolve. Recommends changes or upgrades to equipment, work methods, or other aspects of the process to improve efficiency and utilization of resources including labor, energy and raw materials. Additionally, Process Engineer requires a bachelor's degree of engineering. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Process Engineer works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. To be a Process Engineer typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. The Process Improvement Engineer is responsible for driving continuous and sustainable improvement projects in the manufacturing plant. They demonstrate proficiency in continuous improvement production principles and leverages them to lead high-impact projects that improve Safety, that remove disengaging tasks to improve Employee Engagement, that improve Delivery, that reduce Cost, and that unlock plant Capacity. The Process Improvement Engineer will work closely with the Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager, plant leadership, and the Plant Controller to identify these projects.
