Process Engineer jobs in Richmond, CA

Skydio is seeking a talented multi-disciplinary engineer to define, implement, and continuously improve the final assembly processes for our next generation of products. In this role, your contributions will drive quality, speed to market, productivity, and profitability. 

How you'll make an impact:

• Define assembly process and line layout, providing progressively refined labor, cost, and capacity estimates.
• Define, configure, and maintain accurate work instructions, routing, and process controls in Skydio’s MES (Manufacturing Execution System).
• Proactively identify and mitigate productivity and yield losses using tools such as PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis).
• Continuously improve quality and efficiency while reducing cost through reduction of waste and variability using lean and six sigma methods.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and test teams to implement product manufacturing requirements.

Requirements:

• • Experience in process development throughout the product development process through multiple product launches
  • Ability to prioritize tasks against development schedule to maximize effectiveness
  • Strong electro-mechanical background, preferably with consumer and industrial electronics
  • Enthusiasm for hands-on development of creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, communication, and cross-functional teamwork skills
  • Understanding of MES and MRP systems
  • Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt

     

Compensation Range: The annual base salary range for this position is $108,000 - 138,000*. Compensation will vary based on factors, including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. In addition to base salary, Skydio full-time employees are eligible to enroll in our benefit plans and take advantage of a variety of incentives and stipends.
